Kenya Coast National Polytechnic is developing a regional Flagship Marine Transport & Port Logistics Centre. The center has established a Project Implementation Unit and an Industry Advisory Board (IAB).
The advisory board is very strong with representation from the biggest stakeholders in the Maritime industry in Kenya and the World. Our board comprises of the MD Maersk East Africa including MSC Kenya, Express Shipping and Logistics, African Marine & Generation Engineering Company, Heritage Group of Hotels, International Transport Federation, and Kenya Maritime Authority and others.
This board has assisted the institute to secure industrial attachment for staff and students. Plans are underway to send eight members of staff for attachment as from 15th November 2020. IAB has reviewed proposed programs and given new areas for curriculum development and advised our consultants on equipment, and labour market survey.
