Kenya Coast National Polytechnic hires consultant to conduct graduate tracer studies

Kenya Coast National Polytechnic has hired consultants to support us in equipment specification, Tracer Studies,TNA, Labour market survey and Strategic plan for the Polytechnic and sustainability plan for the project. We are in the process of hiring a design and supervision consultants.

The team has developed MOUs with three institutions and one industry. These firms are; Institute of Chartered Ship Brokers, Bandari Maritime Academy, Qingdao Harbour & Vocational College China and African Marine & General Engineering Company. The MOUs are focusing on equipment sharing, collaborative training, curriculum development, attachment for students and staff among other things.

The polytechnic offers mentorship programmes for girls interested in maritime careers, one was held on 19th October 2019 where the PS Shipping and maritime affairs was the Chief Guest.

On COVID 19 Preparedness, the polytechnic has installed sanitizers, hand wash machines and also produced more than 7000 branded face masks within the Polytechnic.
