Hawassa Polytechnic College Signs MoU with Ethiopian Textile Industry Development Institute

Hawassa Polytechnic College, on 15th October, 2020, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Ethiopian Textile Industry Development Institute (ETIDI) to promote skills development and continuous learning through short term programs.

The Vice Dean, Hawassa Polytechnic College (HPTC), Mr Melese Dedamo and Vice Director General of ETIDA, Yared Mesfin signed the MoU on behalf of their institutions.

The MoU will strengthen partnership between the two institutions in conducting capacity building programs for college faculty and staff through short-term training. It establishes a clear roadmap towards building a regional flagship institute in garment and textile technology.

The MoU, which was developed in participatory manner, will be implemented in the next three years and will involve a collaborative partnership where each party contributes to the EASTRIP project outcomes.
