KIHBT opens to students after months of lockdown

The Kenya Institute of Highways and Building Technology (KIHBT) reopened on 26th October, 2020 after the closure since Covid-19 pandemic struck. Covid 19 measures have been put in place to ensure the safety of both students.

The institute’s Industrial Advisory Committee (IAC) was inaugurated on the 22nd October, 2020 following their appointment as per the Project Appraisal document.

The RFTI gender committee has also been formed with representation of both genders per campus from the three campuses namely: Nairobi, Ngong & Kisii.

KIHBT has been working on a Cooperation Agreement with Laikipia County as part of Outreach to Counties and a training base for highways related courses has been identified. This will open up a corridor in the Northern part of Kenya.
