The Inter University Council for East Africa (IUCEA), the EASTRIP Regional Facilitation Unit (RFU), has appointed members of the Regional Technical Working Group on Harmonisation of TVET curriculum, occupation standards and qualifications framework. This follows a recommendation from TVET experts during the regional meeting on Harmonisation of TVET curriculum, occupational standards and qualification frameworks held in March 2020 in Nairobi, Kenya.

The Technical Working Group comprises representatives from private sector/industry, relevant TVET professional bodies, institutions (regulators), the Government Ministries and other relevant stakeholders. It will be responsible for giving technical guidance to the RFU and the consultant on the harmonisation process. The working group will also engage key stakeholders from member countries on the main areas of harmonization with a view of coming up with clear terms of reference and a way forward.
