DIT Mwanza in Tanzania wins the National Science and Technology Competition in the TVET category

Each year, the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology invites Tanzanians with creativity, discovery and original knowledge and/or ideas, to participate in the National Science, Technology and Innovation Competition, also known in Kiswahili as “Mashindano ya Kitaifa ya Sayansi, Teknolojia na Ubunifu (MAKISATU)”. This year, DIT Mwanza campus emerged as winner in the TVET category at the competition held in Dodoma, Tanzania as part of the National Innovation Week.

MAKISATU’s goal is to identify, recognize, celebrate, build, promote and develop the creativity of Tanzanians in the fields of Science and Technology in order to contribute to the efforts of social and economic development of the country. The results of MAKISATU will encourage the growth of creative enthusiasm in the field of science and technology; the use of science, technology, and innovation in economic and social activities; developing innovations to reach the commercialization stage; stimulate scientific and technological discovery and innovation.
