Arusha Technical College enters into partnership with Kafue Gorge Research and Training Centre (KGRTC) staff and student exchange

Arusha Technical College (ATC) has signed a memorandum of Understanding with Kafue Gorge Research and Training Centre (KGRTC) in Zambia for staff and students’ exchange between the two Institutions as a way of achieving World Bank goals under the East African Skills for Transformation and Regional Integration Project (EASTRIP).

The MOU between the two Institutions was signed by the Rector, ATC, Dr. Musa Chacha,  and the Director, KGRTC, Mr. Davies Chinkusu and witnessed by the High Commissioner of the United Republic of Tanzania to Zambia, Hon. Ambassador Simba Yahya.

Staff exchange program between the two institutions has already started where 5 Staff from Arusha Technical College have successfully completed their one-month training from 8th May 2022 to 10th June 2022 at Kafue Gorge Research and Training Centre (KGRTC) on Hydropower Operation and Maintenance (HPOM) as well as gaining experience in developing short and long training programs, equipment and specifications,  establishment of e-learning trainings and conferences, integration of ICT in Renewable energy, international collaborations and ISO certifications.
