Kikuletwa renewable energy training centre participates TCU industry exhibitions

Arusha Technical College Kikuletwa Campus participated in the 16th Exhibition of Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU) at Mnazi Mmoja Grounds in Dar es Salaam. The exhibition aims at communicating various programmes offered at Kikuletwa campus as well as demonstrating student innovations.

Arusha Technical College Admission Officer Mr. Victor Losearian Ngaai explains to Secondary School students on the admission requirement to join Kikuletwa Campus.

Among the Ordinary diploma courses courses offered at Kikuletwa campus include the following

  • Diploma in Electrical and Solar Energy Engineering
  • Diploma in Electrical and Wind Energy Engineering
  • Diploma in Mechanical and Bio energy Engineering

Short professional Courses

  • Hydropower plants operations and maintenances
  • Solar PV systems, sizing, installation and service and maintenances
  • PLC in Hydropower plant engineering
  • Maintenance of Hydropower Distribution Network
  • Design and Construction of Electric Distribution Network
  • Transformer and Motor Rewinding Technology
  • Mini Hydropower Turbine Development

Scholarship at Arusha Technical College

The rector of Arusha Technical College offered partial scholarship for students who were willing to join long courses in renewable energy at offered at Kikuletwa Renewable Energy Training Centre. The partial scholarship was provided for artisan level programs in Hydropower plant operation and Solar PV system installation.

The students who received the scholarships enrolled were eligible to 75% fee reduction and were required to pay only 25% of fee as specified in the fee structure. The 75% of fee was covered by the college to attract both male and female to join these courses and increase enrolment. 10 students have received the partial fee scholarship (2 male and 8 female).
