KIHBT visited the Taita Taveta County Government in an outreach mission whose aim was to follow up on the activities of the workplan arising from the co-operation agreement that KIHBT signed with the county in 2021.
During the visit, the delegation from KIHBT paid a courtesy call to the Taita Taveta University where they met with the Deputy Vice Chancellor in charge of Academic, Research and Outreach.
A key outcome of the deliberations was the agreement that the two institutions would form a joint task team to plan an academic pathway for the diploma in highway engineering alumni who would be interested in proceeding to a higher education level. Once finalised the agreement is expected to benefit KIHBT graduates endeavouring to further their education.
