Kenya Institute of Highways and Building Technology (KIHBT) conducted various skills training workshops for its staff and partners.
Basic counselling skills training
The institute embarked on capacity building mission for a group of 22 staff members to an introductory course in basic counselling and skills development which cuts across board among the students and trainers as a Covid-19 pandemic intervention measure.

Curriculum review
Having successfully completed the 1st ,2nd, and 3rd phase of curriculum development according to the roadmap the institute conducted a review workshop from 7th to 11th June,2021 with internal and external stakeholders for the occupational standards and draft curriculum of the following courses:
- Road Construction
- Construction Site Safety
- Drainage Construction
- Construction Plant Mechanics

Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority training
KIHBT’s management participated in a Leadership, Management and Governance Training workshop from 14th to 18th June,2021 whose aim was to enhance capacity of TVET institutions’ management to enable them create efficiencies and effectively engage their teams to deliver transformational results.1
