Holeta Polytechnic College seeks to increase student enrolment in long-term programs

Holeta Polytechnic College, with support from the East Africa Skills for Transformation and Regional Integration Project (EASTRIP) funded by the World Bank, is establishing the Centre of Excellence in Agro-processing to deliver quality outcome-based training to supply competent, motivated and innovative middle and low-level workforce with the necessary technological skills to ensure the implementation of an agriculture-led industrial economy of Ethiopia.

Accordingly the Polytechnic College enrolled student a total of 114 students, of which 56 were females in long term program for March an April intake in animal health, fruit processing, animal production, crop production, dairy production, and natural resources.

College Conduct enrolment-min

Holeta Polytechnic College conducted enrolment, marketing and promotion campaigns using different platforms including digital media. The campaign objective was to increasing the number of student enrolment in long-term programs aimed at meeting skills needs of priority sectors.

The College doing its best by focusing on both long term and short term programs in fruit and vegetable processing, dairy processing, nursery site establishment, animal health and agricultural technology.
