Arusha Technical College under Environment and Social Safeguard Unit of the EASTRIP Project has introduced Grievances Redress Mechanism to address social grievances when the project is implemented.
The Environment and Social Safeguard Unit Team Leader Eng. Yusuph Bahayuri said that GRM will help to collect social problems related to the ongoing project activities and find solutions immediately.
“ This will help us to get feedback from the community on how the project is going on and if there are social related grievances will be addressed on time, the grievance office is open all the working hours and it can also be accessed online through the College website,” Eng. Yusuph explained

On the other hand environmental and social safeguard Unit is in the process of finalizing Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) study of Kikuletwa Campus where new infrastructures are going to be established.
The Unit has already conducted a Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) meeting with the Tanzania National Environmental Management Council (NEMC) and key stakeholders to review and receive comments to be incorporated in the draft ESIA report for the finalization of the ESIA study.
